Popular SUSLA professor collapses on campus; dies

Shreveport, LA(KSLA)- A popular Southern University in Shreveport died after collapsing on campus.

According to Southern University Public Relations spokesperson Bill Sharp, it appears the associate instructor of electronic technology had a heart attack.

Apparently, Warner was teaching a class and stepped out a moment to go to his office. A student happened to walk into his office and found him collapsed.

The student immediately started CPR before rescue crews rushed him to Willis-Knighton North.

KSLA News 12 is told Mr. Brown is a very popular, loved, and respected teacher on campus.

Warner Brown has been teaching at the college since 1983.
