Fire Chief Crawford stepping down

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford will be leaving his current job to become Mayor Cedric Glover's chief administrative officer.

The move was one of several personnel changes Glover announced Tuesday.

Glover praised Crawford's oversight of the $50 million Fire Department budget.

In other changes Gwen Campbell, Glover's director of communications, has resigned and will be replaced by Rod Richardson, former managing editor at The Times newspaper.

Richardson's chief assistant will be Burnadine Anderson, who was the spokeswoman for Glover's re-election campaign.
