SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Citizen complaints lead Shreveport Police to execute a special operation Tuesday targeting speeders on Interstate 49 in Shreveport.
Officers say that within three hours of monitoring traffic on I-49 a total of 59 traffic citations were issued. Of those, police say 33 were for speeding.
The purpose behind this initiative Shreveport Police say was to help keep motorists safe and crackdown on the number of crashes that occur as a result of traffic violations.
Police encourage citizens who would like to report a speeding complaint or other traffic concern to call the Shreveport Police Department's Traffic Bureau at (318) 673-7255.
