RUSTON, La. – Coming off of their longest game in recent memory, senior Adrienne Johnson's career night ensured that that the Techsters would not face a similar fate as Louisiana Tech rolled past Utah State 91-74 Thursday night at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Utah State (8-9, 2-2 WAC) grabbed their only lead of the night to start the game before Johnson and the Techsters took control of the game.
Johnson tallied her seventh double-double of the season as she recorded a career-high 36 points while converting all 16 attempts from the charity stripe – a school record. Shantale Bramble-Donaldson added a career-high 17 points while Jasmine Bendolph scored nine, all of which came from the free throw line.
The Aggies had three score in double-figures with Ashlee Brown leading the way with 24 points and 13 boards.
Louisiana Tech (12-5, 4-0) returns to action Saturday evening against Nevada with the first tip slated for 7 p.m.
