SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA)- KSLA News 12 has learned that the two men arrested Wednesday for a Pleasant Hill bank robbery have a long list of priors. Authorities also believe they're responsible for several robberies across Northwest Louisiana and East Texas, including one in Shreveport.

"Certainly our investigators believe that these suspects may be connected to a bank robbery that we had here back in October where the Red River Bank in the 1000 block of Bridgewater was robbed," says Shreveport Police Public Information Officer Bill Goodin.

He tells KSLA News 12 that SPD investigators have been working closely with other agencies since the robbery in Pleasant Hill-"Our investigators were notified by authorities in DeSoto Parish, as well as the FBI, so we joined the manhunt and the investigation."

In at least three of the robberies, the robbers stole an employee's car. Surveillance photos from the robberies in Mansfield, Texas and one in Grand Cane show them in construction gear. Today, law enforcement build a case against them.

Both of these suspects have been in trouble with the law before. Hooks has priors for burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery, carjacking, and sodomy involving a juvenile.

Brown has priors including simple battery, forgery, and drug charges.

Authorities say their investigations are just beginning

"I'm sure that our robbery investigators are going to go back and look at other bank robberies that we've had over the past several years to determine if indeed these individuals are responsible for any other robberies," says Goodin.

The FBI tells us they are seeking legal opinions from the United States Attorney's Office. It's also working with local authorities to see which charges will be federal, and which will be state.
