SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A minor accident in Shreveport early Monday morning caused a major traffic hang up during the morning commute.
Shreveport Police were called to the scene just before 7:30a.m. of an accident on northbound Interstate 49 at W. 70th St.
Officers say two vehicles were involved in the minor accident. The two drivers of both vehicles were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
The location of the accident, police say is what caused the traffic hang up. During the early morning rush, that location is normally congested, the minor accident police say caused it to be more congested than normal.
Just before 9 a.m. police were able to clear the scene and traffic was able to resume.
