SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The city of Shreveport is closing several railroad crossings.
Crews prepared Monday December 6th, to close the Wyngate and 84th Street crossing. The city voted to close this crossing at Wyngate and others at Church Street and Malcom Street.
This is all part of a deal with Union Pacific Railroad, who must shut down some crossings to open others.
Union Pacific will open a crossing at Shreveport Park, an industial park that promises job growth for the city.
