SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A Shreveport man is arrested for hitting an officer with his car during a traffic stop.
This happened around 1 PM Monday afternoon December 6th, on Clyde Fant Parkway when the driver was pulled over for speeding.
60 year old Melvin Armstrong claimed to be having a heart attack at the time he was pulled over. When Corporal Scott called for help, Armstrong drove off, running over the officer's foot.
We are told Armstrong was in a rush to get to the V-A Hospital where medical personnel determined he was not actually having a heart attack.
Armstrong was later arrested for aggravated battery and resisting by force.
