SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The man charged with the murder of Shreveport police officer, Sgt. Tim Prunty, was arraigned Monday in Caddo Parish court.
Christopher Cope of Shreveport now formally faces one charge of first degree murder and two counts of attempted second degree murder. The 24 year old is accused of fatally shooting Sgt. Prunty as he stood outside a convenience store.
The attempted second degree murder charges stem from when police say Cope fired on a Southern Trace guard tower and the clerk standing by when Prunty was shot.
