LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A six-month-old baby boy who was injured while in the care of a Lufkin babysitter has died.
The baby was brought to a Lufkin hospital on Nov. 18 after the babysitter told police the child had rolled off a bed and onto a concrete floor when he was left unattended for a short time while she rushed to check on another child.
Medical personnel transported the baby to a Houston hospital, where he was in critical condition and on a breathing machine.
Lufkin Police spokesman said he did not know what date the baby died.
Police are actively investigating the death, Smith said.
