Shreveport, LA(KSLA)- Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash overnight that tied up traffic and kept authorities busy with the clean up for much of Saturday.
The crash happened about 2:30 am along Interstate-220.
It all started when a tanker carrying liquid gas rear ended a pick-up truck near the North Market Street exit in north Shreveport.
Police say the driver of the pick-up truck died in the crash, while medics took the driver of the tanker to LSU Hospital.
KSLA News 12 was told no gas was released in the crash but LA State police and other agencies have helped re-direct traffic during Saturday's clean-up process which was wrapping up around 2 PM.
No citations have been issued and police have not released any names. The crash remains under investigation.
