Bossier City Police schedule Safety Checkpoint for Tuesday

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA)- Bossier City Police announce Monday a safety checkpoint to be held in the city on Tuesday.

Officer say the checkpoint will be held at a location in south Bossier City as part of the department's ongoing effort to reduce vehicle fatales.

During the operation, police say officers will be checking for motorists who violate the seat belt law or fail to have children in proper safety restraints. Citations will be issued to motorists who fail the safety checkpoint.

Bossier Police say the checkpoint is part of a continuing seat belt enforcement effort funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
