Soldier from Conroe, TX dies in Afghanistan

CONROE, TX (KSLA) – Some more sad news for the Ark-La-Tex regarding soldiers fighting the war: a soldier from Conroe, Texas has died in a non-combat incident.

The Department of Defense announced the death of Pfc. Kyle M. Holder today.

He died at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, of injuries he received in a non-combat incident.

DOD reports he was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment (Reconnaissance and Surveillance), 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.
