Local law enforcement "face off" for Sgt. Prunty fundraiser

Shreveport, LA (KSLA) – The tragic killing of Shreveport Police Sgt. Timothy Prunty has saddened the entire local community. Sgt. Prunty was killed in the line of duty in south Shreveport by an unprovoked gunman last month. Since then, support for Sgt. Prunty poured in from all over the Ark-La-Tex, many in the form of fundraisers.

Tonight, local police and firefighters will face off in the ring tonight to raise money for their fallen brother.

The Battle of the Badges will take place tonight at the Municipal Auditorium.

Thursday night, police officers and fire fighters took part in the weigh-in at All Star Automotive -the main promoter of this year's fights.

All the proceeds will go to Sergeant Tim Prunty's family.

The fight starts at 8 PM tonight at the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport. Tickets are $10 to $20.

If you would like to buy a ticket, call Kim Addison at 318-402-6644.
