Mooringsport store could lose liquor license

MOORINGSPORT, LA (KSLA) – A Mooringsport Convenience Store could lose its liquor license after several allegations of selling alcohol to minors.

The owners of the Triangle on Highway One have been ordered to appear before the Caddo Parish Commission.

Sheriff Steve Prator says Deputies conducted seven operations targeting underage sales between February of 2007 and August of this year, 2010.

Investigators say each time they conducted an operation, a clerk illegally sold alcohol to an underage customer. Five of the citations resulted in convictions. Two more are pending in court.

The commission will decide whether the store will keep its license as early as today, November 4th.
