Shreveport bank robber dressed in drag arrested

UPDATE: A tip called into CrimeStoppers leads to the arrest of a bank robber dressed in drag accused of robbing the Chase Bank on W. 70th on November 3rd. 24 year old Bobby Law is charged with one count of simple robbery.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –A man dressed up as a woman is wanted by Shreveport Police for allegedly robbing a Shreveport bank Wednesday.

Shreveport Police Investigators and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect(s) who allegedly robbed the Chase Bank, located in the 2900 block of W. 70th St. Wednesday morning.

Police describe the suspect as being a black male, slender build, 5'10" tall with medium complexion. The man, according to police walked into the bank wearing  gray sweats, sunglasses and a wig, walked up to a teller and handed over a note demanding money. He also made a gesture to a clerk indicating he had a gun but the weapon was never shown.

Police say the teller gave the suspect money and the suspect then left the bank through the front door and may have possibly gotten into a black Olds Cutlass, which police say was being driven by another man.

Anyone recognizing the suspect(s) or have any information on this robbery is urged to call Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373. Police are offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrests of the suspect(s).
