Caddo Sheriff arrests couple for cruelty to juveniles and molestation

Caddp Parish, LA(KSLA)- Caddo Sheriff's detectives arrested a local couple for felony offenses related to the care and supervision of three children.

Kimberly Cotten, 33, of the 3500 block of Dewberry, was charged with cruelty to a juvenile and is accused of allowing her boyfriend, 30-year-old Brian Maser, to force two juveniles in her care to drink alcohol. The alcohol was given as a beverage, in Jell-O shots, and on ice cream. A third juvenile also was given alcohol, but it was not done forcibly. 

Cotten also is accused of leaving the children alone for more than 24 hours and locking the interior door to the kitchen to keep them from getting food while she was away. She is also accused of physically abusing one of the children and allowing two of the children to be assaulted by Maser.

Brian Maser, who lives in the 1700 block of Sligo Road in Bossier City, was arrested on two counts of molestation of a juvenile under 13. Maser is accused of inappropriately touching two of the children. 

Both were Cotten and Maser were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center following an investigation by Cpl. Dorothy Brooks of the Caddo Sheriff's Office Youth Services Division. Cotton's bond was set at $100,000. Maser's was set at $200,000.
