2 Shreveport gas stations robbed, suspects still at large

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –The search for two suspects who allegedly held up two Shreveport convenience stores in less than one hour continues Friday.

Shreveport Police were called out Friday morning just after 9 a.m. to the Texaco Night and Day, located in the 9400 block of Mansfield Rd. to a reported armed robbery.

According to police, witnesses to the robbery tell them that two masked men, armed with handguns allegedly walked in the store, demanded money from the clerk and then robbed a customer, before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Then about 30 minutes later, Shreveport Police say officers were called out to a second armed robbery of a Mobile Gas Station, located on W. Bert Kouns near Interstate 20.

Police say witness to this second robbery say that again two men, wearing masks and armed with handguns walked in, demanded money from the clerk and then allegedly robbed a customer, before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The only difference this time; Shreveport Police say witnesses say that the suspects left in a white SUV.

The search continues Friday afternoon for the alleged suspects and police urge anyone with information on either of these armed robberies or the suspects to call Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
