CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) –A happy ending to what could have been a horrific accident for a Shreveport toddler who was reportedly found wandering along a Caddo Parish street Wednesday afternoon.
Caddo Parish Sheriff's deputies were called out by a Good Samaritan couple who say they had found a two-year-old boy wandering near the intersection of Mayo Rd. and Linwood Ave., which is located just shy of the Shreveport city limits.
Deputies say the young child was at home with Bradley Farnell, the baby sitter. He allegedly fell asleep and that's when deputies say the toddler managed to get out of the house.
It has not been released by officials of about how long the child had been wandering before the couple had discovered the child and called authorities.
Farnell was issued a misdemeanor summons for child desertion. The child was returned to his mother by Child Protective Services.
