SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The suspect accused of killing Shreveport Police Sergeant Timothy Prunty remains behind bars Monday, but reportedly under suicide watch.

The suspect, 24-year-old Christopher Cope, police say is now being housed at the Caddo Correctional Center in Shreveport.

It has been confirmed that Cope is the son of retired Shreveport Police Officer, Carl Cope. Investigators say, Cope admits to detectives that he shot Sgt. Prunty, but the question remains Monday as to Why?
