HAPPENING NOW: BossIer Marshal Johnny Wyatt funeral

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA)- Happening right now in Bossier City...Hundreds of friend and family are gathered to say farewell to Bossier City Marshal Johnny Wyatt.

Services for Wyatt are being held at the First Baptist Church of Bossier City.

Wyatt was killed back on October 8th in a SUV crash. Bossier City Police say Marshal Wyatt was headed eastbound on I-220 in his Jeep Commander when he took the Shed Road exit, but his SUV rolled past the stop sign, across Shed road and crashed into a culvert.

Marshal Wyatt is best known, for heading up the Internet Task Force for "Crimes Against Children" in which hundreds of online predators were captured and prosecuted.

Wyatt served as Bossier City Marshal since 1991 and was 64-years-old.

Burial follows at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery on Highway 80 in Haughton, Louisiana.
