SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The suspect in the robbery and bomb threat of a Shreveport bank is 71 year old Nolan Williams. Williams is accused of robbing Community Trust Bank on Travis Street in downtown Shreveport Friday afternoon. Police say he threatened tellers with a package he claimed had a bomb inside.
Shortly after the robbery, an officer spotted a man fitting the robber's description. Investigators say they found the stolen money on the suspect. Williams is charged with one count of armed robbery.
With the help of a robot, crews were available to unwrap the package and found that it contained an aerosol can.
