SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Shreveport Police say two fugitives wanted for theft of a stolen check are now in police custody.
24-year-old Nadosha Lawrence and 29-year-old Rita Moy were wanted by police for alleged theft. Police say the two were captured on surveillance video coming out of a Shreveport WalMart shortly after allegedly purchasing gift cards with a stolen check.
The two then were seen on tape getting into an older model White Cadillac in which police believe they went to another WalMart and used the cards to purchase items.
Police credit the media in helping with the arrest of the two suspects. Lawrence reportedly turned herself in to the Caddo Correctional Center after the surveillance video was published to YouTube and broadcast on media stations.
Shortly thereafter, police say Moy was identified and subsequently arrested.
