Shreveport, LA (KSLA) – Many residents of a Shreveport neighborhood are still without power as of Friday afternoon.
Earlier Friday morning, hundreds of residents in Shreveport lost power after a truck got caught up in some wires near the set of a movie production.
The accident happened around 7:30a.m. where the movie 'Trespass' is currently filming.
Deputies say the movie company had an 18 wheeler coming in when it ran into some cable wires, knocking down utility poles.
As of Friday afternoon, most of the residents on Calumet Dr. in Shreveport's Cross Lake neighborhood have had their power restored, according to SWEPCO officials.
SWEPCO adds that everyone else should have their electricity back on by late Friday afternoon.
Residents say this incident makes the second time in a week's time something of this nature has happened in their area. The first time a delivery truck ran over the wires.
