SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –Shreveport Firefighters have ruled a fire at a Shreveport home early Friday morning is arson.
The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. at a home in the 1400 block of Ford St., which is in Shreveport's Allendale neighborhood.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find flames coming from the rear of the home. Fire investigators report the fire started in the back room of the home.
Fire investigators say electricity was hooked up to the home, but no one was inside at the time of the fire.
A 'For Rent' sign was reportedly found posted up on the outside of the home, according to fire investigators.
The back of the home, where the fire reportedly started sustained heavy fire damage, the rest of the home reportedly only suffered heavy smoke damage.
The investigation into this fire continues.
