Squirrel to blame for morning power outage

Bossier City, LA(KSLA)- A squirrel is to blame for a major power outage that affected 4100 customers in north Bossier City.

It all began when a squirrel got in a 12,000 volt powerline regulator on Brownlee Road located between Airline Drive and Benton Road in Bossier City.

Four of the company's main circuits locked out due to the incident

Swepco was able to restore the power back at approximately 9:12 am, that's within two and a half hours after SWEPCO crews performed all the necessary repairs.
