CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) – A major crash involving two cars, one a Motorist Assistance Patrol vehicle, has sent one person to the hospital.
It happened on Interstate-49 near the Southern Loop exit just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Caddo Sheriff's officials, the driver of the MAP vehicle was exiting I-49, looked both ways at the stop sign and made a left turn.
That's when the vehicle was hit on the driver-side by an oncoming car.
Sheriff's deputies say the sun was shining in the face of the MAP vehicle driver, and that may have caused him not to see the other car.
The driver of that car was taken to an area hospital but is expected to be ok.
The crash is still under investigation.
