Pope's visit will continue as planned, despite alleged threat

LONDON (AP) - The Vatican says Pope Benedict has been informed of the five arrests connected to an alleged threat against him.

Police say five men were arrested in a pre-dawn raid in London under the country's terrorism laws.

Right now British police continue to question the men, who are between 26 and 50 years old, but none of the men have been formally charged with anything as of yet.

Police say there had been no indication that it was a threat involving national security.

After learning of the alleged threat, officials say the Pope does not plan to change his schedule during his four-day visit to Britain.
