Man struck by train in S'port, may have Alzheimer's

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Police suspect a 70 year-old man struck and injured by a Kansas City Southern train early Friday morning may have suffered from a pre-existing medical condition.

Just moments after Shreveport Fire received the call of a man struck on the tracks near Dillman and East 80th, police got a call that an elderly man had wandered away from his residence on 81st street and was missing.

Officials tell KSLA News 12 the man suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported to LSU Hospital.
