Seven new cases of West Nile Virus confirmed in LA

Undated, LA (KSLA)- The State Health Department has confirmed seven new human cases of the West Nile Virus which brings this years total to 19.

The cases confirmed came from East Baton Rouge and Ascension Parishes--which are in the Baton Rouge area.

The best way to prevent the West Nile Virus is to wear bug spray with deet and make sure there's no standing water surrounding your home because it attracts mosquitos.
