TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA)- An inmate fell five stories to the ground from the rooftop of Bi-State Justice Center, which is Texarkana's District Court.
Monday August 30th around 3 PM, the inmate was on the roof of the building when U.S. Marshals say he made an attempt to escape. The roof of the building apparently is used as an exercise area for inmates and is topped with barbed wire.
We're told that the 30 year old man made some kind of rope out of inmate clothing and bed sheets, then used it to scale the wall. That's when he fell five stories to the ground.
He was taken to a hospital and treated for injuries, but his condition is unknown at the moment.
