BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) – Power was restored to all of SWEPCO's customers who were without power this morning. Over 10,000 SWEPCO customers in NW LA lost power because of a problem in one of their main transmission lines, but all of them had the power on by 9:30.
SWEPCO Spokesman Scott McCloud said the problem was at the Red Point Substation, which feeds customers in Bossier, Webster and Bienville Parish. He said a 69,000 volt transmission line experienced a lock out.
The 12,000 customers without power were among those three parishes and included the towns of Haughton and its outlying areas.
SWEPCO did manage to reroute power to the schools in Haughton and South Bossier.
