Shreveport Police needs public's help in missing woman case

Shreveport, LA (KSLA)- The Shreveport Police Department needs the public's help to find a woman who has not contacted her family since July 1, 2010.

On August 5, 2010, family members of 47 year old Vernessa Black notified Shreveport Police detectives that they had not seen or heard from her since early July. Ms. Black is described as a black female who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. Police and family members are concerned for the welfare of Vernessa Black, but at this stage of the investigation no foul play is suspected.

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Black, they are asked to call Shreveport Police Detective Lindsey Bonner at 318-673-7020 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
