SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – CHRISTUS Schumpert Health System of Shreveport announced Tuesday afternoon plans to make major changes at two of its campuses.
According to hospital officials, changes will be coming soon to Schumpert St. Mary and Schumpert Highland.
Officials say services at the St. Mary campus will be focused around CHRISTUS Sutton Children's Hospital, women's services and comprehensive cancer care.
At the same time services at the Highland campus will be expanded to provide more capacity and technology for adult medicine and surgical services.
Hospital personnel add that emergency departments will continue to operate at both campuses.
These changes are expected to be implemented within the next several months.
