Bossier City police looking for man involved in violent domestic dispute

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA)-Bossier City police are trying to track down John Walker, a man they say attacked his girlfriend in a motel room on East Texas Street.

On August 14, the man allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face, cut her on the neck with a pair of scissors, and then refused to leave their motel room.

Walker has been arrested more than 50 times in his adult life. Police tell us he has a history of domestic violence and violence toward police.

"They were able to establish him quickly as a suspect, and in the process, were able to make telephone contact with him. But as far as getting him down here to the police department, or making physical contact with this individual, all attempts have not turned out," says Bossier City Police Public Information Officer Mark Natale.

It's believed that Walker has been staying in multiple places in Shreveport or Blanchard.

He's also wanted in Ruston for failure to appear in connection with a theft charge.

If you've seen John Walker, you're asked to call bossier Crime Stoppers with any information on his whereabouts. Their number is (318) 424-4100.
