Adams brothers laid to rest after tragic death

Shreveport, LA(KSLA)-  The three Adams brothers who were tragically killed were laid to rest today. Family and friends gathered together to say the final farewell to the three youths.

The Adam's lives tragically ended after being gunned down by 33-year-old Marcus Donte Reed.

Investigators arrested Marcus Donte Reed on three charges of first degree murder in the deaths of 18-year-old Jarquis Adams, 20-year-old Jeremiah Adams, and 13-year-old Gene Adams.

Reed allegedly thought the three brothers stole a video game system from his girlfriend, hid in the woods near his girlfriend's house armed with an SKS assault rifle and came out when the brothers pulled into the driveway and opened fire.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said there is no indication that the brothers ever took a video game system from Reeds.

A fund to help the family has been established at the Shreveport Federal Credit Union on Fern Avenue in Shreveport under "The Church of the Living God - Adams Fund."
