New evidence in Ark murder

MILLER COUNTY, ARK (KSLA) – Prosecutors get new evidence in a murder trial happening in Miller County, Arkansas.

They say cell phone records link the man on trial to the victim. Kevin Dixon is charged with killing Jose Vargas during a robbery last year. Dixon claims his cell phone was stolen months before the fatal shooting.

Vargas's body was found lying in the 11 hundred block of Prince Street. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty. Dixon faces life in prison without parole if convicted.
