Trial set for the man who robbed and killed a cab driver

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The man accused of brutally stabbing a local cab driver to death is expected to be in court today.

22 year old Michael Scott turned himself in back on June 28th, on a charge of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say it happened during an attempted robbery. They say, Scott stabbed 51 year old Timothy Guyton in his cab in the 300 block of Phoenix.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Scott is scheduled for arraignment in Judge John Mosely's court.
