GENTRY, AR (KSLA) – U.S. Marshals say an escaped inmate and his fiancé accomplice may be in Arkansas. The dubbed "Bonnie and Clyde" duo were possibly sighted after an armed robbery in northwest Arkansas.
KSLA News 12 spoke with a U.S. Marshal for the Arkansas western district.
He tells us John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch are accused in the armed robbery of a beauty shop in Gentry.
Gentry is 260 miles north of Shreveport, and that's where Welch's mother lives.
The U.S. Marshals' office is trying to get surveillance of the robbery.
Investigators believe the two have changed their appearance. It's believed McCluskey dyed his hair black and Welch dyed her hair blonde.
The two have eluded authorities for nearly two weeks after Welch allegedly helped McClusky and two other fugitives escape from an Arizona prison.
The couple was last seen in Montana near the Canadian border before the sighting in Arkansas.
