Red River Tragedy victims laid to rest Saturday

Shreveport, LA (KSLA)- The six victims who drowned in the Red River Tragedy were laid to rest on Saturday afternoon.

The Stewart-Blalock funeral took place at Morningstar Baptist Church located at 5430 Jewella Avenue. It started at 2 PM.

The Warner family funeral took place at 3 PM at Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral located at 4725 Greenwood Road.

Huge crowds showed up at the 2 funerals to say their final goodbyes to the 6 lives that were lost in the tragic drowning last Monday.

Each family tragically lost 3 teenagers.

As KSLA News 12 reported Friday night, thousands of family, friends and members of the Ark-La-Tex community gathered to mourn and celebrate the lives of the teens whose lives were cut short.

They all turned to Friday night's very special visitation to show their love and support for the families of six young people, who lost their lives so soon Monday night when they drowned in the Red River trying to save one another.
