Plain Dealing teen clinging to life after falling from horse

Plain Dealing, LA(KSLA)-  A Plain Dealing teenager was found unconscious in a field Friday afternoon and was transported to L.S.U. Hospital in Shreveport.

Chelsea Easley, 17, had been riding a quarter horse in a field on James O'Daniel's Quarter Horse Farm in the 2700 block of Highway 2, near Plain Dealing.  O'Daniel told Bossier Sheriff's deputies the horse came back to the barn without Easley at about noon.  He said he immediately got on his tractor and went out into the field to look for her where found her lying face down in the grass, unconscious.

O'Daniel called for medical help and Life Air Rescue was dispatched to transport her to LSU Medical Center.  She is listed in critical condition as of Friday evening.

O'Daniel told deputies Easley regularly came to the farm to ride horses for him. He speculates that Easley was unseated when the horse stumbled or fell.
