KSLA News 12 and Radio Group help drowning victims' families

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –KSLA News 12 and The Radio Group teamed up Thursday to help the families of the Red River Tragedy victims.

On Monday, six Ark-La-Tex teens lost their lives while wading in the Red River. Thursday's RadioThon kicked off at Noon on behalf of the Warner and Stewart-Blalock families.

Radio personnel from all six of the station with the radio group broadcast to their listeners to need to make donations to help both families. Residents can tune in to the following stations to learn more about how they can make a contribution.

The Radio Group stations are:

  • KLKL  -  95.7 FM
  • 98 Rocks  - 98.1 FM
  • The Beat  - 103.7 FM
  • KDKS  -  102.1 FM
  • KOKA  -  980 AM
  • KSYR  -  92.1

Ark-La-Tex residents wanting to make a contribution can go to either of the two Shreveport Federal Credit locations.

The credit union has opened two accounts, each with $1500 and they will match all donations dollar for dollar.
