Account Info. for drown victim's families

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –Shreveport's Federal Credit Union has established an account to assist the families of the six Shreveport teens who drowned Monday evening in Shreveport's Red River.

President/CEO of the credit union, Helen Godfrey-Smith offered Tuesday to set up the two accounts that will allow the public to make donations to assist both families.

"We are opening each account with $1,500 and will match all donations, dollar for dollar," says Godfrey-Smith, said Godfrey-Smith. "We want the Warner and Stewart families to know that they are not alone in their time of need."

    The baby’s mother used heroin and prescription pain medication during her pregnancy, and the baby was born addicted to drugs, police say.
