BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) – The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Shreveport man for alleged drug possession along with a list of other charges.
22-year-old Donald Scroggins Jr. of Shreveport was arrested by deputies back on Sunday, July 25 after deputies reportedly went out on a call of a possible drunk driver.
According to deputies, the caller told them that Scroggins was allegedly running over the center and fog lines near Highway 80 and Stockwell Rd. in Bossier Parish.
When deputies caught up with Scroggins a standard field sobriety test was given, according to deputies that showed the suspect was not impaired by alcohol; however, deputies did learn upon running a check that Scroggins was driving under suspension and no proof of insurance.
Scroggins was arrested and now faces charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, no proof of insurance and an open container.
Scroggins remains in the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with bond at $1,700.
