Atlanta Church up in flames

ATLANTA, TX (KSLA) – An East Texas congregation awaits word on whether arson was the cause of the fire that burned their Fellowship Hall last week.

Early Thursday morning, July 22, the Atlanta Fire Department responded to a fire at the Bethsaida "Y" Baptist Church on County Road 4223, after someone reported smoke coming out of the Fellowship Hall.

The fire apparently started in the kitchen and scorched much of the inside, but the sanctuary only suffered smoke damage.
