SPD make arrest in S'port early morning double stabbing case

Shreveport, LA (KSLA) – An arrest has been made in connection to a double stabbing in Shreveport early Friday morning.

21-year-old Prentice Tillman is now in police custody after surrendering shortly after 8 a.m. Friday morning and now faces an attempted murder charge.

Just before 6 a.m.,Police and Fire were called out to a home in the 4900 block of Hollywood Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found a woman and her husband suffering from stab wounds. Police have now identified those victims as 56-year-old Clifton Jenkins and 49-year-old Cathleen Jenkins.

Investigators say that Jenkins had apparently been attacked inside his home by Tillman, now allegedly while Tillman was stabbing Jenkins, Tillman's mother Cathleen intervened and Tillman allegedly stabbed her.

As of Friday afternoon both victims remain in critical condition.
