Texas education may not be up to par

TEXAS(KSLA)- When it comes to what students in Texas are learning, it may not be quite up to par, according to a new set of national guidelines.

A think-tank based in Washington is giving a good grade to English and language arts standards for Texas students, but they report that math standards are "clearly inferior".

Standards on what students should know by the time they graduate high school have been adopted by 25 states, but Texas leaders have rejected them.
