Firefighter accused of arson

TEXAS (KSLA) – A former Texas Forest Service Firefighter was indicted by a grand jury on a felony arson charge.

Jeremy Mansfield is accused of starting a two-acre wildfire on May 12th. Mansfield could face up to two years in jail.

Arson is a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.

Mansfield worked just one year for Texas Forest Service. He was terminated in May.
