SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a major accident involving a car and SUV on South Lakeshore Drive eastbound at I-220 in Shreveport.
Shreveport Police say that a Toyota Camry was coming off of Interstate-220 onto Lakeshore Drive.
The Camry was turning onto Lakeshore Drive when it was t-boned by a Chevy Suburban. Police suspect that the driver of the Camry possibly didn't see the Suburban because of the sun.
The driver of the Camry was taken to LSU Hospital by LifeAir with life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the suburban have been taken to Willis Knighton with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
