Bossier man killed in fire identified

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) – The State of Louisiana Fire Marshal office have now released the name of the victim of a fatal fire in Bossier Parish Sunday night.

The victim is identified by authorities as 36-year-old Cedric Smith of Bossier Parish.

Bossier firefighters responded to a call around 8:30 p.m.Sunday from a home in the 100 block of Potter Road.

Firefighters arrived to find the wood frame house engulfed in flames. Once the fire was put out, crews found Smith's body inside one of the bedrooms.

The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
